Have Your Say in the Upcoming NSW State Election

There is no more important time than now to make sure our voices are heard.

NSWALC would like to remind all members of the upcoming state election and the importance of being enrolled to vote.

The NSW electoral roll closes on Monday 4 March at 6pm

If you miss this deadline you will not be eligible to vote in the upcoming NSW Election on 23 March 2019.

Don't miss this opportunity to have your say.

To enrol to vote, or to update your enrolment if you have recently moved, go to the website of the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) at:

https://aec.gov.au/enrol/

Alternatively, you can download the following form and return to any AEC office:

https://www.aec.gov.au/enrol/files/er016w-nsw.pdf

Forms are also available from any Australia Post or AEC office.

The following people are eligible to vote in the NSW election.

  • you are an Australian citizen
  • aged 18 years and over, and
  • have lived at your address for at least one month

There are some concerning policies coming out from parties, most recently, a disturbing plan from One Nation.  We need to make sure these candidates do not have a voice in a Parliament that represents us.

NSWALC encourages all Aboriginal people in NSW to enrol to vote if they are eligible and have a say in the future of the State, and most importantly to stand up for the issues that affect our People and our Communities.  It is essential that our voices are heard.
