Network mourns loss of Ffloyd Laurie

The Land Rights network is mourning the passing of Bundjalung and Yaegl man Ffloyd Laurie after a battle with mesothelioma.

A devoted and caring husband, father and grandfather, Ffloyd was well-known among communities throughout the North Coast and he will be sadly missed by family and friends in Casino and Yamba.

Diagnosed with mesothelioma in July last year, Ffloyd was exposed to asbestos as a student at Baryulgil in the 1970s.

Ffloyd's passing has shocked the local community and the Land Rights network's sympathies are with his family.

Relatives and friends of Ffloyd are invited to attend his funeral service which will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church, Canterbury Street, Casino on Thursday, 9 February from 11am.

Following the service, the cortege will travel to the Casino Lawn Cemetery.
