Help us celebrate the deadliest Land Rights system in Australia.

The NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) is honouring our legends of Land Rights with a Gala Dinner at Darling Harbour on Friday, 29 September.

The 40 Years Strong: Our Land Council Our Mob Our Future Gala Dinner pays tribute to Land Rights legends, past and present.

An exciting line-up of entertainment is headlined by legendary rock band Coloured Stone and X Factor winner Isaiah Firebrace and includes a special Land Rights dance from the NAISDA Dance College.

Tickets are selling fast so click here to be part of history. In October 1977, more than 200 legends met at the Redfern Black Theatre to lay the foundation for Land Rights.

On 29 September we're celebrating a success story that contributes to the cultural, social and economic life of New South Wales.

The UNSW and the role of UNSW's Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous are working hard to close the gap in disadvantage and health through education and supporting Aboriginal scholars and their research.

"In particular we want to increase our enrolments of Aboriginal young people from regional parts of NSW especially low socio-economic areas," the UNSW Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous said.

"We want to graduate the next generation of Aboriginal thinkers and professionals who can design the solutions to the problems in Aboriginal communities."
