Applications extended to May 3 for Educational Scholarships

The cut off date for the prestigious NSW Aboriginal Land Council Education Endowment Fund Scholarships has been extended to May 3, 2010.

The scholarships are open to all Aboriginal people in New South Wales and cover six broad areas including those students in primary and secondary education, students in boarding schools, tertiary students, or those undertaking TAFE and vocational courses.

The scholarships will provide financial assistance to help cover the costs of uniforms, text books, educational excursions (except sport excursions), tutorial assistance, laptops and software, internet access and fees for Boarding school, TAFE, primary and High school.

Funding for each category is capped.

Applications for scholarships close on May 3, 2010 and further details on the selection criteria and scholarship application forms are available by contacting  Margaret Dent, Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) on Telephone 02 99299633.
