Draft NSWALC Strategic Plan (2013-2017)

The Aboriginal land rights network would now be aware of the development of a NSWALC Strategic Plan for 2013-2017.

The Plan aims to encapsulate the goals and aspirations of NSWALC over the coming five years. It's designed to determine a strategic, tactical and planned approach to our core business into the future.

Details of the draft Plan were circulated and discussed via Councillor Regional Forums in September and October and there were numerous requests from LALCs in attendance at those meetings for the draft plan to be circulated to the Network for further comment prior to Council giving final approval.

Attached is the draft final Plan as endorsed by the Council at its last meeting in December 2012.

LALC representatives who attended the Councillor Regional Forums will also be aware that once approved by Council, the Plan will operate as the new NSWALC Community Land and Business Plan for the purposes of Section 137C of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983.

NSWALC welcomes any feedback that LALC's may have on the draft final Plan and would welcome comments or feedback by Monday 4th February 2013.

Any feedback received will be considered by the Council prior to approval of the final draft Plan at the 19-21 February 2013 Council meeting.

Chairman,
Stephen Ryan
