PASSING OF MR GREG EATOCK

Some sad news for the NSW Aboriginal land rights network.

Greg Eatock, a long-time black rights campaigner has passed away, aged just 51.

Greg was the son of Pat Eatock. A leading figure in the Aboriginal Rights Coalition, he devoted his life to fighting for black interests and was a strong advocate for land rights in NSW.

In recent years, Greg was a trenchant critic of the Northern Territory intervention, and led much of the Sydney protests against the legislation.

Greg's service will be held next Thursday morning at the Community Centre, Redfern.  The time is to be confirmed, so more details will follow.
