NSWALC Regional Event Grants

The NSWALC Regional Event Grants 2022-23 Application Round for events to be held in 2022-23 is now closed.

The NSWALC Regional event Grants program

The NSWALC Regional Event Grants is a new program that replaces the former State Wide Grants program.

The NSWALC Regional Event Grants changes the emphasis from events of statewide significance to events of regional significance for Aboriginal peoples in NSW.

The decision to make the change was made after review and evaluation by the NSWALC Council in 2021.

The purpose of the NSWALC Regional Event Grants program is to provide grants for organisations and events that have Aboriginal participation and are of regional significance for Aboriginal peoples in NSW.

The events chosen must support and promote Aboriginal culture and/or sporting achievement. Activities that do not meet these purposes will not be funded under the Regional Event Grants component.

The maximum grant available is capped at $25,000 per applicant per year.

The NSWALC Regional Event Grants Policy & Procedure outlines what grants can be used for, and on what basis grant applications will be assessed.

The NSWALC Regional Event Grants 2024-25 Application Round is now OPEN, from 1 March 2024.
