Amanda Reid OAM (she/her)

Amanda Reid is a Guringai and Wemba Wemba woman from Nowra.

Amanda says she’ll utilise her YAC representation to focus on safe communities and housing, the benefits of education and sport for mental and physical health, and other supports, particularly for disabled youth.

She’s committed to advocating for the needs and rights of young Aboriginal people, for brighter and more inclusive communities.

Amanda is a member of the Nowra Local Aboriginal Land Council, is a Paralympic gold medallist in cycling, has also competed at the Paralympics for swimming, has received a Medal of the Order of Australia for her services to sport, and has a current scholarship with the NSW Institute of Sport.
