Kaitaia Clark (They/them/their)

Kaitaia Clark is a Barkindji Wilyakali person from Broken Hill.

Clark says Aboriginal youth need more safe and calming spaces to connect and learn to support each other to live positive and healthy lives, as well as the many beneficial outcomes of a yarn!

They say that having a strong sense of identity is crucial to success, to build communities by having real conversations, bring awareness to important issues, and help young people to find and strengthen their voices.

Clark is studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Archaeology at the University of New England, is a skilled visual artist and was the first Aboriginal Dux at their high school.
