The NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) has partnered with the Australian Government, under the Indigenous Business Sector Strategy (IBSS), to design and deliver the Yarpa Indigenous Business and Employment Hub (the Yarpa Hub).

The Yarpa Hub is a one-stop-shop for Indigenous businesses, entrepreneurs and job seekers to connect to business and employment opportunities available throughout NSW. The Yarpa Hub is designed to assist individuals or businesses navigate through the broad range of supports currently available to them to determine what will meet their current and future needs.

The Yarpa Hub will also support buyers wishing to engage Indigenous businesses or jobseekers in their supply chain to allow them to meet their procurement or employment targets.


Business Support

The Yarpa Hub is a one-stop-shop for Indigenous businesses and entrepreneurs to build their capability and connect to a wide range of business opportunities available throughout NSW.

This includes:

  • Connection into a range of business opportunities across Greater Western Sydney and NSW
  • Connect with like-minded leaders in their fields and other Indigenous business owners
  • Advice, mentoring and training from our Hub Coaches
  • Strong business support and mentoring across various stages of growth
  • Invitations to exclusive networking events


Employment Support

The Yarpa team will identify and support individual pathways for Indigenous people to expand their career opportunities and find meaningful long-term employment using the right guidance and support.

Additional supports will include: 

  • Links to employment opportunities across a range of sectors
  • Connect with like-minded job seekers
  • Advice, mentoring and training that will increase employment opportunities
  • Access to culturally focused employment resources and supports

Support for Industry, Corporates and Government

The Yarpa Hub is an avenue in which industries, corporates and government can effectively and meaningfully connect with Indigenous businesses and employees.

These supports include:

  • Connect with Indigenous businesses
  • Advertise and promote procurement and employment opportunities available to Indigenous businesses
  • Support Tier 1/Tier 2 providers and Government agencies to fulfil their Indigenous procurement targets
  • Access to training events focusing on stronger engagement with Indigenous businesses and jobseekers
  • Invitations to exclusive networking events

Liverpool Hub

Yarpa operates out of a state-of-the-art office location in Liverpool, NSW, where we offer training and meeting rooms and business and employment support. Our training and meeting rooms are fully equipped with teleconferencing facilities, wi-fi and printing services. We also offer hot-desks, lockers, modern kitchen facilities and access to an open networking space for conferences and special events. Laptops are also available for use.

Yarpa: We will walk with you

The Yarpa Hub is a one-stop-shop for Indigenous businesses,
entrepreneurs and job seekers to build relationships and connect
Indigenous people to business and employment opportunities.

Employers wishing to hire Indigenous Australians or engage
Indigenous businesses in their supply chain will also be assisted
to access the most appropriate service or advice. NSWALC will
deliver the Hub in close collaboration with the Australian and NSW
Governments to ensure Indigenous businesses and job seekers can get
the support they need quickly and easily.

The Yarpa Hub is a place for Indigenous Businesses to build their
capabilities and streamline their access to various services and
supports. This includes:

The Yarpa Hub is a culturally safe space for Indigenous job
seekers and people wanting to develop their career. The Yarpa team
will identify and support individual pathways for Indigenous people
to expand their opportunities and find meaningful long-term
employment. Additional supports will include:
- links to employment opportunities across a range of
sectors;
- connect with like-minded people;
- advice, mentoring and training that will increase employment
opportunities; and
- access to culturally focused employment resources and
supports.

A voice for the Business sector
In December 2018, the Yarpa Hub hosted an Indigenous Business
Breakfast to launch its service offering and foster an engaging
conversation to identify the barriers and solutions to an effective
Indigenous Procurement sector.
