NSW Aboriginal Land Council 2026-2030 Strategic Plan to undergo consultation – seeking feedback

The New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) has commenced consultation on its 2026-2030 Strategic Plan and is inviting the Aboriginal Land Rights Network to provide feedback.

The NSW Aboriginal Land Rights Network plays a vital role in shaping the future direction of NSWALC and the broader Land Rights movement. As the state peak body, NSWALC is committed to ensuring the Aboriginal Land Rights Network has the opportunity to contribute to and inform the strategic priorities that will guide our work from 2026–2030.

The current NSWALC Strategic Plan expires on 30 June 2026. In accordance with sections 137A-137D of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (NSW), NSWALC is required to prepare a Community Land and Business Plan (the NSWALC Strategic Plan), and we are inviting the Aboriginal Land Rights Network to comment.

The draft Strategic Plan outlines NSWALC’s proposed priorities and focus areas for the 2026–2030 period. The draft is available online here until Friday, 24 April 2026.

How to provide feedback:

Written feedback should be provided by email to policy.research@alc.org.au. To ensure your feedback can be considered, please submit your comments by Friday, 24 April 2026.

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this consultation. We look forward to receiving any feedback.
