A Modern Cultural Vision on the NSW Mid North Coast.

It was all about old friends and new at Coffs Harbour in January, for the annual Saltwater Freshwater Festival.

Five years ago, ten Aboriginal communities decided to host an annual Festival on Australia Day and celebrate Aboriginal culture as central to the national identity.

They formed the Saltwater Freshwater Alliance, made up of ten Local Aboriginal Land Councils, Karuah, Forster, Purfleet Taree, Bunyah (Wauchope), Birpai (Port Macquarie), Kempsey, Thungutti (Bellbrook), Unkya (Macksville), Bowraville and Coffs Harbour.
