Health professional wins Indigenous leadership award

Health professional, Patricia Fleming has taken out the Indigenous Leadership award at this year’s Women of Western Sydney Awards, held in Parramatta City.

Patricia is a proud Gamilaroi/Wayilwan woman who has dedicated her career to improving the health and well-being of Aboriginal communities. She currently leads a team of health professionals at the NSW Ministry of Health, focussed on Closing the Gap by providing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations with access to location-specific data and information. The Women of Western Sydney Awards recognises and celebrates the extraordinary women of western Sydney and their contributions and achievements in development of the region across a range of areas.

This year, thirty-five incredible women were nominated including our very own, Shannon Mallison.
