Opportunity to learn the fundamentals of project management

24 November, 2025

Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs) are invited to upskill in project management by joining a two-day Project Management Fundamentals short course, provided by NSWALC.

Hosted over two days, this training will introduce participants to the essential language, terminology, frameworks and tools of modern project management, helping them plan, execute, monitor, conclude and evaluate projects effectively.

During this course, participants will learn how to:

  • Produce a project outline.
  • Create and plan small projects, including risk, quality and change.
  • Monitor project implementation effectively.
  • Develop closure reports and documentation.
  • Evaluate the project’s success and capture lessons learned.
  • Understand the core principles of project management.
  • Determine what is needed to manage a project in detail.
  • Understand the different project methodologies and when each may be applicable.

This course will provide participants with foundational knowledge to understand projects and achieve successful outcomes.

These sessions will be held online and NSWALC encourages representatives from all LALCs to attend.
