Applications Open – NSWALC 2026–2027 Regional Event Grants

Applications are now open for the NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) 2026–2027 Regional Event Grants Program.

The Regional Event Grants provide financial support to events and organisations that promote Aboriginal culture and sporting achievements across New South Wales. The program is intended to assist activities that demonstrate clear regional significance for Aboriginal people.

Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs) and Aboriginal Community Organisations are encouraged to consider applying for funding of up to $25,000. Funding is available for events that bring our communities together and contribute to the continuation and visibility of culture, identity and achievement.

In the previous funding round, 59 applications were received from across the State. NSWALC anticipates continued strong interest in the 2026–2027 program and encourages eligible organisations to submit applications.

Supporting regional cultural and sporting events remains an important part of strengthening community connection and maintaining pride in who we are as Aboriginal people. Events funded through this program contribute to the ongoing expression of culture, intergenerational engagement and the recognition of Aboriginal excellence across NSW.
