Member: Brittney Lavis
Mid North Coast Region

Brittney is a proud Biripi woman living on Bundjalung Country and the NSWALC Youth Advisory Committee member for the Mid North Coast Region. She holds a deep passion for learning about, and sharing, her culture, ensuring it remains alive and thriving for many generations to come. Brittney currently works as a Senior Peer Support Worker within the mental health sector.

Brittney is studying for a Certificate III in Gathang, which is her traditional language, as she believes language is a vital part of Aboriginal identity and cultures.

Being part of the Youth Advisory Committee allows her to give back to her community in meaningful ways and inspire other young mob to engage in positive change through the NSW Land Rights Network. She is committed to uplifting voices and fostering strong connections within her people so that together they can grow and create a brighter future.
