Illarrah Roberts is a proud Bundjalung, Gomeori, and Euahlayi woman and the NSWALC Youth Advisory Committee member for the North Coast Region. She is an active member of the Jali Local Aboriginal Land Council and is currently studying a double degree in Law and Criminology & Criminal Justice at UNSW Sydney.Â
Driven by a deep passion for justice and Aboriginal rights, Illarrah is committed to increasing youth engagement in land rights across NSW. She is especially focused on empowering young people to take an active role in protecting and managing their traditional lands.Â
Illarrah is passionate about promoting self-determination and self-sufficiency within Aboriginal communities and is dedicated to building a strong future for the generations to come. Through her role on the NSWALC Youth Advisory Committee, Illarrah looks forward to continuing this important work and ensuring the legacy of past leaders is honoured and expanded by today’s youth.
