The NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) would like to reassure the Land Rights Network that the NSWALC Funeral Grants scheme remains available for all eligible community members.
This follows community concern over the status of a funeral fund operated by another company, which has gone into liquidation.
The fund concerned is the Aboriginal Community Benefit Fund (ACBF) No. 2 Pty Ltd which is owned by the funeral insurer Youpla and has no connection with NSWALC Funeral Grants.
- If any community members have funds in the ACBF Fund 2, they should contact the Administrator Roland Robson of the Robson Cotter Insolvency Group on 07 3270 8500 or by email admin@rcinsol.com.au.
- If community members pay into any other funds owned by Youpla, they should contact Youpla on 1800 622 924 or email customerservice@youpla.com.au
- The Financial Rights Legal Centre (FRLC) is also providing assistance to community members regarding ACBF Fund 2. This web link explains the situation and what you can do to get help (FRLC).
