Malcolm (Cal) Davis is a Biripi and Dunghutti man from the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, with strong family connections to Rollands Plains and Dingo Creek. Raised in Forster on Worimi Country, he has maintained a lifelong commitment to community and Land Rights.
Cal has more than 40 years’ experience in the Aboriginal Land Rights movement, having been involved since the introduction of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act in 1983. He is now Councillor for the Mid North Coast region.
He has held previous positions at NSWALC and with the Aboriginal Land Rights Network. He was a Regional Councillor and spent more than a decade in senior executive roles with NSWALC, including Deputy CEO and Acting CEO, overseeing operations, policy, land rights and corporate services. He previously was the CEO of Forster LALC.
Cal brings extensive experience in business management, strategic planning and governance, and is passionate about supporting strong, sustainable Land Councils that deliver lasting outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
