NSW Aboriginal Land Council Small Regional Grants Program 2020

NSW Aboriginal Land Council is pleased to inform the Land Rights network that small grants will continue to be available to community organisations and Aboriginal community members in the state.

NSWALC's Small Regional Grants program will make available grants of up to $1,000 (one thousand dollars) for a range of activities.

These include:

  • Assisting Aboriginal people to participate in arts, crafts and sporting activities;
  • Maintaining the contemporary and cultural life of an Aboriginal community;
  • Promoting understanding of Aboriginal culture;
  • Supporting personal development opportunities for Aboriginal people and
  • Supporting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in NSW.

If you would like to apply for a Small Regional Grant, please read the information available at the following link "  Small Regional Grants Policy and Procedure" on your eligibility, the process and assessment.  The "Small Regional Grants Application Form" is available here.

The basic steps are below:

1)     Prepare your Small Regional Grant application form;

2)     Make sure all supporting documents verifying the activity are included;

3)     Submit to either

- The NSWALC Councillor for your region or

- The NSWALC grants email account grants@alc.org.au

Please note that the relevant Councillor must endorse your application before it will be assessed by NSWALC, whether it is submitted directly to the Councillor or to the grants email address. Successful applicants will be notified. The program is open all year round or until funding is exhausted for the financial year.
