A Call Out for good news stories

January 25, 2011

The New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council will be launching a new publication in the coming months, and we need your help!

We are inviting all Local Aboriginal Land Councils to submit good news stories so we can showcase the positive work being done in and around your communities.

Stories would typically be about 300-400 words in length, and pictures will be more than appreciated. This is an excellent way of broadcasting the positive news stories that otherwise would be bypassed in the mainstream media.

In addition to this, the publication will also feature a section aiming to reconnect people with lost relatives and friends. So if you are looking for someone, please do not hesitate to contact us.

You can send your stories, or questions to Amy McQuire at amy.mcquire@alc.org.au or call on 02 9689 4410.

The cut-off date for submissions will be February 14.

Acknowledgement

We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of the lands where we work as well as across the lands we travel through. We also acknowledge our Elders past, present and emerging.
