The NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) is advising the Network that an application to constitute the Bandjalang LALC in the area, colloquially known as Evans Heads in the North Coast Region, has been received by the Office of the Registrar, ALRA (ORALRA) and published in the Government gazette on Friday, 23 August 2024.

Part 3, Division 1 of the Regulations outline the process.  A link to the relevant regulations can be found here: Aboriginal Land Rights Regulation 2020 – NSW Legislation.

The publishing of Friday’s notice commences a 30-day period for objections to be lodged with the Registrar.
