Applications Open 2022-23 Round of the NSWALC Regional Event Grants (formerly NSWALC State Wide Grants)

The NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) is pleased to announce that applications are now being sought for the 2022-23 round of NSWALC Regional Event Grants.

The NSWALC Regional Event Grants program

The NSWALC Regional Event Grants program is part of a Community Benefits Scheme.

The Community Benefits Scheme is a mechanism by which the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council can provide grants to community members or community entities, under section 108 of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (NSW).

Events chosen for the NSWALC Regional Event Grants must support and promote Aboriginal culture and/or sporting achievement, have Aboriginal participation and be of regional significance for Aboriginal peoples in NSW.

Activities that do not meet these purposes will not be funded under the Regional Event Grants component.

The NSWALC Regional Event Grants Policy & Procedure form outlines what grants can be used for, and how grant applications will be assessed.

Funding Rounds

There is one funding round each year, with the application period open for two months. The maximum grant amount is $25,000 per applicant per year.

The Council of NSWALC is the final decision maker of which events will be supported and amounts granted.

2022-23 Funding Round

The application period for the 2022-23 round of the NSWALC Regional Event Grants will be open from Tuesday 1 March 2022 and closes on Saturday 30 April 2022.
