NSWALC Grant to the Newcastle Yowies Sporting Association
Monday, September 8th, 2014
I am pleased to advise that Council has approved a grant of up to $75,000 to the Newcastle Yowies Sporting Association as part of a community benefit scheme to support the Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout 2014.
The purpose of the grant is to discount the $1500 registration fees for up to 75 teams participating in the event.
NSWALC expects that the grant will be applied equally to both men's and women's teams that register to play in the Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout 2014.
The Newcastle Yowies Sporting Association in accepting the grant has agreed to manage the grant and discount the registration fees for up to 75 teams.
It will be in the in the best interests of teams wishing to participate in this event to register with the Yowies as quickly as possible to ensure they are amongst the 75 teams that will benefit from the discount made possible by NSWALC's contribution.
The Newcastle Yowies Sporting Association advises that teams registering will be required to pay the $1500 registration fee and then $1000 will be refunded within 3 working days.
All queries about the use of NSWALC's contribution to the event, registration fees and any other matters concerning the Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout 2014 should now be directed to the Newcastle Yowies Sporting Association.
