Yiradhu marang (Good day) LALCs,

NSWALC is establishing a Youth Advisory Committee and wants to provide young Aboriginal people with a chance to be heard and develop their leadership skills.

NSWALC is currently seeking applications from young LALC Members between the ages of 18 and 25, with a passion for advocating on behalf of others and who want to be a part the Land Rights movement.

The Youth Advisory Committee will provide advice and recommendations to NSWALC on issues impacting young Aboriginal people as well as develop youth-led, community based strategies to respond to those issues. In return, NSWALC will provide Youth Advisory Committee members career advancement training and leadership development opportunities.

If successful, you will be required to attend the first Youth Advisory Committee meeting in Sydney on May 7 and 8.

Below you will find an info pack, please feel free to share with young people in your community. Applications close 5pm Friday 12thApril 2019.
If you have any questions or comments regarding your application or the NSWALC Youth Advisory Committee, please contact the Strategy and Policy Unit via policy@alc.org.au or call (02) 9689 4444.

We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of the lands where we work as well as across the lands we travel through. We also acknowledge our Elders past, present and emerging.
