NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout 2016 – It’s a Wrap!

7 October, 2016

OurMob takes a look at the fun, family and community of Knockout 2016 at Leichhardt Oval.

30-thousand people travelled to Sydney for four days of deadly football in glorious spring weather.

New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council is proud to continue its long-standing commitment to the Knockout, with its grant of up to $75,000 for the first 75 male or female teams to register for the events.

NSWALC Chair Roy Ah-See says the money has helped increase participation for communities battling to raise enough funds to send teams to the Knockout.

NSWALC was there across the four-day event, and OurMob introduced our new hashtag photo printer to the mob, which was a big hit!

If you had some #OURMOB photos taken, we hope they give you fond memories of a great cultural gathering.

OurMob has put together a video retrospective of Knockout 2016 – enjoy!
