More than 200 Aboriginal rangers gathered on Gomeroi Country for the second annual Ngarringilanha Aboriginal Ranger Gathering, with some travelling from as far as Cairns and Arnhem Land.
Ngarringilanha means “sitting together” in Gomeroi language. Across five days, rangers shared knowledge and skills through workshops, cultural activities and demonstrations focused on caring for Country. They also had time to build friendships and strengthen connections across communities.
Seeing Local Aboriginal Land Councils so strongly represented was a highlight. Their rangers care for Country every day while strengthening culture, sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for the next generation.
