2015 Statewide Conference - Our Land Council Our Mob Our Future

The New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council will hold the biannual Statewide Conference for Local Aboriginal Land Councils between 17 and 20 August, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley in Cessnock.

This year's Conference theme is "Our Land Council Our Mob Our Future", which will allow for discussion on the future directions of the Land Rights network.

NSWALC values the views of the network and is inviting two representatives from each Local Aboriginal Land Council to attend.

If a Local Aboriginal Land Council wishes to send a delegate other than the CEO or Chairperson to attend the Conference, this can be done through the registration process.

However, it is important to note that given capacity restrictions of the venue, registration is limited to two delegates per LALC.

NSWALC will fund all accommodation and meal costs for the nominated LALC delegates. All travel costs must be met by the LALC.

Planning for the Conference is underway and NSWALC would appreciate your consideration and response as soon as possible to assist us in coordinating the event.

Registration for the Conference can be completed at the 2015 Statewide Conference Registration Site.

NSWALC will continue to update the network through further Network Messages, the Ourmob newsletter as well as our presence on Facebook and twitter.

On the NSWALC website, we will have a dedicated page for the Statewide Conference that will provide updates on the agenda, speakers, panel discussions, exhibitors and entertainment.

In the meantime, comments and suggestions can be sent to conference@alc.org.au

I look forward to catching up with LALC delegates at the Conference.
