Network reminded to Get Ready, contacts in case of emergency

20 September, 2024

With a total fire ban declared for the Greater Sydney and Illawarra area and this weekend being the NSW Rural Fire Service’s Get Ready Weekend 2024, it’s a timely reminder on who the Land Rights Network should contact in case of an emergency.

The NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) encourages Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs) to access services from providers, who are best placed to help in the case of an emergency.

Contact your local RFS brigade to learn more about the Get Ready Weekend events happening near you. These events, held across approximately 500 locations in NSW, aim to raise awareness and promote the Get Ready message and preparedness in your community.

We’ve included a useful table below for other emergency contacts.
