The New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) is calling on the NSW Aboriginal Land Rights Network to maintain strong advocacy against the Crown Land Management Amendment (Statutory Review) Bill.
Following a united approach by the Network outside NSW Parliament last week, the Bill has been delayed to allow for consultation. However, given the State Government’s limited engagement to date, there is no assurance that this process will be genuine or far-reaching.
NSWALC is urging all Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs) and the broader Land Rights Network to remain active and engaged.
There are simple yet important ways to continue opposing the proposed changes:
- Sign the petition linked HERE and share it with your local Communities. So far, we have had more than 4,500 people sign our petition. Every signature counts. Please note, this petition is not collecting donations or proceeds. If you are prompted to donate, those funds do not go to NSWALC.
- Sign and send our template letter to your local MP – template available here.
NSWALC staunchly opposes the discriminatory elements of the Bill and is continuing our advocacy directly with the Government.
Our fight continues, and we need your help.
