Sorry Business – Passing of Rob Welsh

NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) and the Land Rights network mourn the passing of Gomeroi and Murrawarri man Rob Welsh. Rob also had connections via his mother to the Anawin & Dunghutti people.

Rob devoted his life to empowering and uplifting his people through Land Rights, particularly within the Redfern community.…

LALCs Encouraged to Make Submission to National Inquiry

The Federal Government has launched an inquiry into the destruction of the 46,000-year-old caves at the Juukan Gorge in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

It has referred the matter to the Joint Standing Committee on Northern Australia for inquiry and report by 30 September 2020.…
