NSW Government Carbon on Country funding EOI is open

Expressions of interest are now open for NSW Aboriginal organisations seeking to own and manage their own carbon project.

The NSW Government will work in partnership with successful applicants to:

  • plan and design their project, including access to legal, financial and technical support
  • register their carbon project as an Environmental Plantings project under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) scheme.

Caring for Country in Western Sydney

Native plants and animals in Western Sydney are set to thrive with more than $1 million invested as an early action of the Cumberland Plain Conservation Plan.

Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney, and Minister for Trade and Industry Stuart Ayres said the funding would be provided to Deerubbin, Tharawal and Gandangara Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs) to support cultural conservation efforts.…
